Ron Thomas is a piece of work and a media-whore. There isn’t a medium that he doesn’t want his mug on.
When local PDs would call him about his son his response was, “He’s your problem now.”
But now with a BIG payday in the horizon he has all the time in the world.

For the record he was NEVER in law enforcement like he keeps saying in interviews. He was dismissed from the academy for being incompetent. When confronted with the truth he no longer wishes to comment.

Did you even watch the video? I saw a man so out of control that it literally took six men to get him into handcuffs. Yes, he was mentally ill, but if no one knows that it’s not going to be taken into account. He seemed totally coherent when he was being argumentative during questioning right before he’s trying to run away. He may have been screaming that he was sorry and that he couldn’t breathe, but that didn’t stop him from not listening to the officers’ repeated calls to calm down and put his hands behind his back as he continued punching and kicking. It’s a really unfortunate situation and I don’t envy the decisions that officers have to make on the fly when dealing with people who are less than cooperative. I’m interested to see what comes out during the trial, as I think there is a whole lot more to the story then we are being told.

when kelly Thomas listened to killer cop manuel ramos although is was very hard for kelly to do because his instincts warned him not to do that this raging bull would kill him as sure enough the killer cop did ! This cop needs to be treated as anyone else and give him 1st degree,we all see the truth ! This is such an abuse,kelly was such a small man.cops need have compassion maybe he was braking into cars feed him dont kill him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the biggest crime by cops ive seen in long time and the fact that he is a latino too,mkes it worst,he should know of white mans nazi control ways !

First I want to say God Bless to Kelly Thomas and his family. To the police responsible for his death, shame on you guys. Watching the video there was 6 officers dog piled on him. What kind of threat was he to all those officers? He was pleading for his life!! He was crying for his father!!!!! He was saying he was sorry and that he could not breathe with I’m sure about 1800 pounds of police wieght on him. MY GOD!!!!!! Is there not one of those policemen even thinking about Kelly’s well being????? I truly hope justice is served for Kelly and all those policemen be held responsible legally with prison time!!!! And I hope the rest of them that get away with what they did lose their jobs and never be able to be a “PEACE” offecer again because obviously they have a violent personality and they will do it again!!!!!!

I am from Chile. I just can say that during the dictatorship of Pinochet, many people from my country suffered tortures like this because of political reasons. Even so, many of them could get out alives. Also most of the torturers are right now inside a jail. It is unbelievably that in a democracy like US, 6 police men clearly torture to death a man for the only reason of being “homeless” and your legal system only put under trial 2 of them.

Oh but these cops must be those “few bad apples” again right? It’s time for us to realize that the opposite is true. Cops have a mob-mentality and are indoctrinated to the peer-pressure standards of the force. You don’t wanna be the only cop not kicking the suspect, nor be a one-upper by acting professionally. Otherwise you’d be pretty lonely in that locker room, so this asshole-attitude persists. As I see it, MOST are unprofessional, aggressive, power-tripping pricks out to get a fat government pension with impunity.

Don’t believe me? Try filming any cop on the street. If they become angry or unlawfully arrest you, think about why. You will learn the ratio of good cops to bad cops. Those cops that ARE professional would be glad to have their work being spread over the internet. Those cops that AREN’T professional obviously don’t want it publicized.

Of course we must consider those who act professionally solely because they’re being filmed but let’s just give them the benefit of the doubt.

Try it. I’d bet the ratio is something like 65% bad cops, 35% good cops. It certainly has been in my experience. This is just another example of why we need to strip power from the government.

My deepest sympathies for the Thomas family. I’ve shed quite a few tears since first hearing the story. Respect to Ron Thomas for getting the story out there and fighting for what’s right. Hopefully you will inspire more people to join your protests.
